Hi All,
Recently installed a high quality PA System in a gym.  Specs required
EV Speakers (8) facing bleachers to have 70 volt transformers (60 watts
each) and two speakers facing down to give floor coverage.  The two
floor speakers had no transformers.  I used a crown CH2 amp, connected
70 volt for the bleachers, 8 0hms for the floor.
I was told that this is a normal way of doing this (mixing voice coil
and transformer coupled speakers), even through they are all covering
the same general area.  Seems to me all speakers in the same area
should have transformers for a better match.  What do you think?
Thanks,
Jerry Arch

I think that you should post your pro-sound question to rec.audio.pro.
