Hi all,
Well can simple media like PDA help me in growing yeasts? Or do I need
some supplements?
How do I prevent bacterial infections on my yeast?
Please Help.

Yeast can grow on a number of different media. The one I think most
people use is called YPD:

20 g/l  peptone
10 g/l  yeast extract
2 %    dextrose

pH should be ~5.8

For plates, add agar before autoclaving. It is also a good idea to have
a dextrose stock solution which has been sterilized by filtration and
add the dextrose after autoclaving (and some cooling).

Supplements may be needed if your yeast strain has special needs.

BTW: Clontech has a nice manual available online (Yeast Protocols
Handbook):

Use sterile technique.
