Hello,

Can anybody give me a hint about the design dimensions to build a
cylindrical bioreator, air agitated? note that it is not a
photobioreactor. What I need is only the diameter to high ratio,
sparging system and air flow required to provide a good agitation in
the medium. Links welcome.
Thanks
Chris

mostly a 2:1 H:D ratio is the industry standar.  Agitation would depend
on your organism and of course tank size.  Initial range you can start
with would be ~100-300 RPM.  Sparging also relates back you the tank
size and your organism (mammalian, bacterial, plant....).  I guess
0.045 VVM might be a good place to start.  I guess that is a very
flexible part of your system.

I hope that helps.
