Hi,
Does anyone knows of a process where noble metals like Ru Rh or Pd are
leached into nitric acid, either in metallurgical process or recycling
methods? All the present methods employ either aqua regia or
hydrochloric acid.
It will be useful if anywhere one could get me a clue is this kind of
process is studied and reported.

They're called noble metals for a reason ...
Just like they're called noble gases for a reason ...
Although noble metals are no where near as noble as the gases ...
Palladium is dissolvable directly in nitric acid ...
Ruthenium and Rhodium just sit there in Nitric ... and AR also ... so
it is more complicated to make them into nitrates ... generally
through the halide produced by passing the halide over the metal at
high temperatures ...
We were producing some Rhodium chemicals for a customer once ... and
the small bottle of Rhodium I was given as a raw material cost
something like $50,000 ...
