A 29-year-old Vero Beach man hoping to hook a prostitute Thursday
evening was instead arrested on various drug charges after police
found 26 crack cocaine rocks in his car, according to a Fort Pierce
Police arrest report.

Officers arrested Previs Javaun Brooks, of the 2300 block of Southwest
10th Road, about 8 p.m. and charged him with possession of cocaine
with the intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting
arrest and two traffic violations, according to the report. Brooks was
booked into the St. Lucie County Jail, his bail set at $90,000.

An officer first noticed Brooks in the 1200 block of Orange Avenue as
Brooks tried to coax a prostitute into his Chevy Malibu, according to
the report. The officer attempted to pull over Brooks' car, but he
drove off and then fled on foot. Brooks eventually ran straight into
another officer who tackled him to the ground. The officers searched
Brooks' car and found the cocaine in a cigar tube along with some
plastic bags intended for distributing the drugs.

At Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated Brooks for
a hurt lip sustained during the tackle, officers heard him "freely
state how stupid he was to not throw out the cocaine as he was driving
the vehicle," according to the report

Sounds like Previs's big night out was ruined by the po-po. Well, he
can still (and surely will) engage in some downlow prison sex with a
fellow buck to cut his losses!
