KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A woman accused of beating two children told
police it was punishment for sneaking food and water.

Police said Tanesha Anderson, 20, repeatedly beat the 3- and
4-year-old girls while she was baby-sitting them for her boyfriend.

Anderson also instructed a 10-year-old girl to hit one of the children
for her because her arm was hurting, police said.

Doctors said both kids were battered and bruised, and the 3-year-old
had a lacerated liver and damage to her other organs.

Anderson was charged with two counts of first-degree assault.
