If I know the total magnification, how can I calculate the field of view
diameter? I am trying to figure out a formula for the Leica Wild M3Z
stereomicroscope.

That is all very well, but I am trying to do it progmatically through our
own in house software.

Surely you can derive the formula if you know the inputs and the answer.
