I always like stereo images, but I much prefer 'real' stereo images
rather than ones that have been produced artificially from a single
image. They're much harder to do on a microscope though! I had a go
recently and didnt get much depth effect because of the very short depth
of field of the scope I was using.

Scott.

Of course everyone prefers real stereo image rather than "faked" one. But the images I've shown in the site are based on some
mathematical model, while as you've said it is pretty difficult to get real stereo microscopic image due to technical problems. So I
thought my method might be useful to make microscopic objects more tangible.

Yeah, sure. Dont get me wrong, I was criticising the images as bad or
invaluable!
Cheers,
Scott.
