I just bought a used Unitron TMS-2309 Tool Makers microscope on
eBay.  It seems to have a problem.  The microscope has a photo tube
and the regular angled eyepiece tube.  I can get light into the photo
tube section but I can't seem to get any light into the visual
eyepiece tube.  It has a control knob for this but after adjusting it
to switch tubes I still can't get light into the eyepiece section.
Any idea what is happening????  Has anyone got a schematic or blow up
image of this microscope or know where i can get a handbook for it?
If you can help please email me at: epmajden@shaw.ca
Thanks:
Ed

Got a feeling you need to dissassemble the trinoc head since it sounds like
the switch isn't working.  When you take it apart use a flashlight to check
for cleanliness, then take apart the prism holder that switches between the
trinoc or the binoc.  Clean and re-lubricate, use Dow-Corning 111.
Re-assemble carefully and attach the control carefully.  Clean with windex
(or similar) and alcohol.

Better yet take it to a competent microscope repair tech.

Thanks,
