Just look for how much this item went: 7525639953

I would have never thought that these old Ortholux parts were so valuable. I
have a rotating table for an Ortholux and an almost "mint" FSA trinoc I
never use. Hey, I will part them out and sell every individual piece on eBay
and make thousands......just kidding.

What's with the parting-out of Ortholuxes anyway? It reminds me somewhat of
mutilation. Are those second-hand dealers going nuts?

A customer told me that a seller makes more money by pieceing out a
microscope.  Rather than sell the item whole, break it into individual
pieces and off you go.  Instead of $2K for the whole 'scope sell each part
for $500.  Cool, huh?

If I needed a stage to fix a customers 'scope I'd pay a lot for it and the
customer would be happy.  Still I can see your point.

There are dealers right up at that top price so its wholesale
not retail the parts are selling for.
