Hi all,
I'm considering buying an old Leitz Vario Orthomat camera to use with
my Leitz Ortholux II microscope. My ortholux has a trinocular head but
the phototube did not come with a ocular tube. The Leitz Vario Orthomat
that I'm considering does not comes with a control unit so I would like
to know if I can use this camera without the control unit. If there are
any issues about this camera, please let me know.
thanks.

Jeez, don't buy it!!  You can't use this thing without the control panel.
When you say Orthomat you assume two units at least.

Now why would you even want this thing?  It's a film camera and everyone
(that means everyone) uses digital, its cheaper and easier to use.

Please save your money and buy a cheap, consumer digital and make cheap,
good pictures.  It works for everybody else....
