I've been unable to access
http://iup.physik.uni-bremen.de:8084/amsr/amsre.html for just over a week.
For a few weeks before that, it was down at weekends. However, I'm now
going through a firewall and wondering whether the problem is associated
with the 8084 port. Could someone else check this site and let me know how
you get on please?

Hello Graham,

your problem is likely due to the port 8084. Maybe it is not forwarded
through the firewall. I can perfectly access the website from my office
in Hamburg.
You are right we had some breakdowns of the service for a few days a few
weeks ago but now everything works fine. We are sorry for the
inconvenience the use of the port 8084 causes. Unfortunately we haven't
got the possibility to use the standard port 80 right now.

Best regards,

Gunnar Spreen (AMSR-E sea-ice charts website maintainer)

Problem now fixed as described in separate e-mail. The firewall settings on
my router were not as I had expected.

Thanks,
