Most other forae will be select for university noticeboards and home
hobbyists.

The reason this board is so slow is that the proclivities of Usenet in
English are confined to the Mainlands of the UK, Australia, Canada and
the USoA. Everyone else having real lives; the remit concerns then, the
coasts of two rather benign continents and an archipelago whose
exceptional tidal phenomenae are more often discussed in other groups,
most likey under the office of OT posts.

Thanks for responding...

Do you have any other sites that one could monitor?

While I do have easy access to the Californian coastline, I would be
interested in any discussion group concerning oceanography.

As you pointed out, this is not a very active newsgroup.

Thanks

If you build it they will come. Or you could go off and start your own
and become a divisive force.
