Binoculars

Hi Folks,

I have a pair of image stabilized binoculars and are having trouble
focusing with both eyes properly.

When I go to read smallish writing on objects far away at pretty much
the limit of the binoculars I can't quite focus, and other people
around me with the same binoculars seem to be able to read it quicker.

I find that I am having to use my master eye only and shut the other
eye. I have tried to adjust the interpupillary distance, but still get
a slightly double/eplitical image.

My question is "Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by using one
eye? Should I be able to read the far away numbers just as quick with
one eye?

Thanks

Have you adjusted the diopter setting on the eyepiece?
