Where can I order and buy Fiber Bragg Gratings (best in Europe)? I need two
FBG write inside one fiber and distance between them must be about 0.5
meter. I need them to my master's thesis.

You could try http://www.multiwavenetworks.com/ in Oporto (though I'm
not certain they're doing retail orders right now).

Thanks but they don't have FBG....

As a side note I tried to send an email message also, and your email
address bounced for me (unless there's some decoding I'm supposed to do
on what's given above).

Try Redfern Optical Components (http://www.redferncomponents.com/) or SPI
(http://www.spioptics.com/Contact.htm).

Hi!
I've been involved in some European projects on FBG research and
tecnhology and we might fabricate in our labs almost any ad-hoc FBG
provided its specifications.
Contact me if you find this interesting.

Try IPHT (Institut für Physikalische Hochtechnoligien) Jena, Germany.
From their Web-site:
Faser-Bragg-Gitter-Technologie (Dr. H.-R. Müller)
I have a fibre with 3 different gratings from them in my lab.

To give the most complete answer to this question, it would be very
helpful if you could specify us whether you need uniform FBGs or some
kind of apodised, chirped,... index profile.

I should add we've got FBGs from the following providers:
Innovative Fibers
Bragg Photonics Inc.
Advanced Optics Solutions
To all these providers that you may try, you should add our lab in
Spain: we have the capability to write our own FBGs which is often
more cost-effective and, above all, much more flexible.
