I know I'm setting myself up for a discussion on the benefits of KDP.
But despite what some say, Zemax is very popular  today for good
reasons.

Thanks in advance, Rich

No, I won't do that but in the instance that someone buys your key,
will ZEMAX then allow a transfer of user name and allow the key to be
brought up to date for upgrades? Just curious.

Hi Jim,  Yes, they allow license transfers as long as you have a letter
from the previous owners.  In addition, the software is brought to the
latest rev with purchase of the support contract.

I won't discuss the relevant benefits of other software, but at the
price point that you're asking ($2950 + $500 for the must have
"support" = $3450 compared to the $4000 you state that this costs new),
it would be only a lttle more expensive (<15%) to buy the key directly
from Ken Moore.

But I guess people will buy anything...

Good Luck,

BTW, it's ODP now, not KDP at http://www.westcoastengineering.com/ and
it's only $49 a year.
