I read this book this morning. Written for a general audience,
without footnotes (though with a good bibliography), Your Inner Fish
is both enjoyable and educational. I learned much and enjoyed his use
of imaginative examples. I wanted more on Shubin's epic fossil find,
Tiktaalik, and some of his examples semed oversimplified, but he's
done a great job of describing the evolution of the body through a
kind of detective story that shows where we came from and why.
