Can someone reccomend both an intermediate invertebrate paleontology
and vertebrate paleontology textbooks.

I like Benton's Vertebrate Palaeontology pretty well. I don't like any
of the invert texts I have all that well. But you might be able to use
Palaeobiology II, eds. Briggs & Crowther for a text, though it's
expensive even in paperback. Both from Blackwell.
