After searching 20 Google pages on Psicattosaurus, I have not found an
osteological diagram of P. mongolenisis. Does anyone have an online
reference
to such information, suggestions in the literature or some scans that
can be sent
to me?

The information is needed to assess a purportedly juvenile specimen of
dubious
authenticity. I appreciate the favor of any leads and will reciprocate
any way I can.

Please understand my typo corrected to P. "mongoliensis".

Your search might improve if you spelled it right: Psittacosaurus.

And here's a reference that would help you:

Sereno, P. C. 1990. Psittacosauridae, pages 579-592 in The Dinosauria
(D. B. Weishampel, P. Dodson, and H. Osmolska, eds.), University of
California Press, Berkeley.

Among other things, it has diagrams of the type skeleton of your
species. Are you trying to tell if it's a Psittacosaurus or trying to
distinguish one species from another? According to Sereno, P.
mongoliensis can be distinguished by a triangular maxillary depression
and upturned lateral margin of the prefrontal. And, apparently, on some
other unspecified cranial characters.

John:

I think we both agree on the spelling of
Psittacosaurus...unfortunately, I managed to mistype that generic
name in the body of my message eventhough the subject heading was
right. And as noted, I scored
another point for manual indexterity with "mongolensis" meriting the
subsequent correction  it recieved.. Species differentiation was not
my goal. Determining fidelity of the item to the described osteology
was.

Thank you kindly for your reference. A friend sent me another recent
paper that addresses the
matter and I have now determined and corroborated the fact that the
specimen in question is a very adroit fake using some unidentified
binding polymer deftly particolored to simulate bone by the inclusiion
of ground bits of polymer of varying off-white shades.

OK, now I have to know. Is it a fake in that it's a doctored real
fossil, and if so what? Or is it a totally manufactured fossil?
