Scientists think that the dinos were shot by aliens from outer space,
shot and butchered and eaten ! That's the reason the dinos are gone
today !

Damn!

The "Hunters from Xypluton Four" theory of dinosaur extinction, while
gaining rapid acceptance in the scientific community (now that we have
figured out how their ray guns probably worked), has been a closely guarded
secret. Your disclosure, unfortunately, has placed your life in danger.
Hired Secret-Spiller-Assassins, an elite group of chemists and neophyte
paleontologists funded by the National Academy of Sciences are, most likely,
even as I write, hot on your trail. You best bet would be to contact every
news group sever and have your dangerous posting removed. I would then
pretend that someone hijacked your identity. And finally I would promise
never to disclose any information you have about forbidden knowledge that
scientists keep locked up in their offices in order to stifle the progress
of those poor, crushed researchers who, alas, still believe that cold fusion
and perpetual motion are impossible.

Cox -- You damned terorist scum!!!  At last you have surfaced and are
issuing instructions to your evil conspirators!!!  You have only
minutes to live!!!  ... We will be upon you just as soon as we figure
out the instructions for this super-$37billion credit- Gyneral
Dynamics-Halliburton intergalactic terrorist locator that IT has
installed in our control module.  At the moment all it will tell us is
"Missing DLL in Module MSJUNK.VXD".  But our techs assure us that this
little problem will be cleaned up in minutes and then you, sir, will
be toast just like those saurians you and your despicible ilk so
admire.

The dinosaurs were all eaten by Giant Poodles.

Well, that of course, the second most common hypothesis held by serious
researchers in the KT event.  The first, that they were killed by alien
hunters who came in search of dinosaur spleens, which, as most
paleontologists now know, is renown throughout the inhabited universe as a
fast-acting aphrodisiac and a cure for type IX mullendover's syndrome, an
often painful skin rash common to hairless arthropods inhabiting low gravity
planets.  I can only caution you, as I have the previous writer, that
revealing these secrets can have dire consequences! Beware.

I think they took time travel and our music insulted their intelligence

(Newbie)  I think the big'uns choked on the littl'uns. On a serious
note, can someone tell me all the echinoid fossils of the species I
find on my local beach are between 11/2 and 2 inches across the long
axis? I have never found a smaller specimen. Did they have predators?
If they did, it would explain why one that I dug from the chalk seems
to have been partially crushed as if by blunt teeth.TIA

Every month or so, using a fictitious name, this troll floods 5000
newsgroups (all cross-posted to a single low-traffic but unrelated
newsgroup) with superficially relevant comments. The purpose is to  disrupt
with off-topic crosspostings.

Like all trolls, he means to annoy and disrupt. The tracking newsgroup is
the way he "keeps score" of how much damage he has caused. Don't put
yourself on display in his trophy case.

Like all trolls, the way to handle  him is to IGNORE him.

Take a few minutes of your time and check out the following score cards to
see firsthand  what this perverted troll is doing. I promise, you'll be
amazed at just how active  and perverted he is. You will see firsthand the
troll's work and his trophies. You will see into the sickness and darkness
of the worst troll on the internet today. Read some of his posts and look
at the headers. You will see than no newsgroup is immune. You will see
flamewars started, some containing over a hundred messages.

Browse the can.uucp newsgroup, his old score card, for Karl-Hugo Weesberg

Browse the is.matur newsgroup, his current score card, for Dan Simper.

Browse the scot.tld newsgroup, his current score card, for Bruno Beam.

He is known as the "anagram troll" because his fictitious names are often
discovered to be anagrams (for example "Dan Simper" is an anagram of
"Spiderman", Bruno Beam is an anagram of "Unabomber").

This guy is a serious troll with a serious problem. Don't be one of his
trophies.

Chances are that I don't subscribe to this newsgroup. I am simply
monitoring the newsgroups the Anagram Troll is using as his score card. Any
posts from me are a result of that monitoring. I normally only post to the
newsgroup being spammed, not to the score card newsgroup, thus I will not
see any replies directly to this post.

Above all, please do not allow him to start a flamewar or extensive
discussion in your newsgroup. He thrives on that. If it is too late, don't
crosspost to his score card newsgroup. That trophy count is his motivation
to continue trolling. Please help stop him in his tracks.
EarlCox - 21 Feb 2005 16:15 GMT
Given the serious state of decay in the news groups (i.e. all the spam and
the general level of "off topic" silliness) does it really matter any more
that some poor shuck trolls through the groups with his/her observations on
"superficially relevant comments"???

If nothing else, the high level of spam has significantly reduced the impact
of such trolls. We have become accustomed to spam and this kind of stuff is
just another type of spam.

Anti-troll campaigns belong, unfortunately, to another (and now distant)
past era of the internet.
