The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists informs us: “The early theories of
human evolution are really very odd, if one stops to look at them. David
Pilbeam has described the early theories as ‘fossil-free.’ That is, here
were theories about human evolution that one would think would require
some fossil evidence, but in fact there were either so few fossils that
they exerted no influence on the theory, or there were no fossils at
all. So between man’s supposed closest relatives and the early human
fossils, there was only the imagination of nineteenth century
scientists.” This scientific publication shows why: “People wanted to
believe in evolution, human evolution, and this affected the results of
their work.

Just one thing before I leave you alone: can you explain what Jabbers
was doing in putting rec.ponds into the list at all? What's the history
of this particular instance of his bizarre behavior?

===========================
He's trying to drive me (Carol) off Usenet. He's obsessed with me since I
reported him to the Camden NJ Police last year for threatening me. He
thinks if he harasses me and the people on the NGs I frequent enough, I'll
leave Usenet. He's also trying to get my NSPs to drop my service by
harassing them on their NG, alt.free.newsservers. His other bizarre
behavior is threatening to sue me, accusing my son and husband of rape and
using my e-mail address fraudulently to cross-post and annoy others. He
used to harass my old ISP endlessly with bogus complaints on forged headers.
He uses people's legitimate NYMs to anger others and to bypass killfiles.
The man is a known sociopath despite the fact he's a devout Jehovah's
Witness and creationist. He's been harassing the people on the science and
biology NG for years now. He tormented those on support NGs until everyone
fled like they did on rec.ponds. Jabriol is mentally ill and I don't think
anyone would disagree who has read more than a few of his messages.

If you believe what Carol just wrote. You might as well be a creationist
and wait for the Great Pumpkin at the end of the month. If you want to
know the truth. Ask rec.ponders directly.
Then go to AFN, and speak to Emperor and Maxx Pollare. Asking Carol, is
like asking Bush if he thinks there's WMD's in Iraq.

Is that you, Jabbers? Perhaps you would like to present an alternative
explanation of why you -- er, he -- crossposts irrelevant garbage on
evolution to rec.ponds? Carol's explanation at least made logical sense
(if the term is applicable to any situation in which you -- er, he --
are involved).
(to any poor rec.pond readers: one more round and I'll stop doing this,
honest. I just had to find out.)

Don't bother. Nobody can read your post when it is a crosspost.
Carol and Jabriol worked very hard so when there is a crosspost it will
be filtered out. Ask your question directly to the group without the
crosspost, maybe, just maybe somebody might respond.

Hiding your identity behind hundreds of NYMs just to annoy people on
rec.ponds and AFN Jabriol Why not use the name *Jabriol* you've been using
for 9 years? Everyone had you killfiled so you had to nym-switch.
The people in AFN were net savvy enough to filter you out, the people on
rec.ponds weren't. What a fine CHRISTIAN thing you did to them! Too bad
they allowed you to do it Jabriol. I know how proud of yourself you are for
destroying yet another NG who couldn't care less about your war to get rid
of another woman on Usenet.

It's not for YOU JABRIOL to decide to be considerate of others or not. We
know you are a sociopathic Jehovah's Witness trying to destroy several NGs.
Don't try and speak for others on Usenet.

Not as odd as the early theories about Chemistry, physics or biology
for that matter, but hey, that's science, you have to start somewhere
so you can start investigating and eliminating. The fact is that
nothing is now as patently absurd as the creation myth, and no amount
of effort spent trying to distract attention from that fact can make
it otherwise.

But not to a CREATIONIST like Omnius aka JABRIOL, a devout Jehovah's

Of course, since then we have discovered lots of fossils that have
helped us build a better theory. I wonder, though, why you give this
"quote", but don't say anything about issue or publication date. And I
wonder about a Atomic Scientist article on a biological topic. And I
wonder why they talk about fossils when there was so much other
evidence for common descent of *all life*. We humans are but one
species out of millions around today. If there is evidence for the
common descent of all of the rest then it is a reasonable and obvious
inference that we also descend from a common ancestor with the rest.
