It's not mine - I took a photo for a friend.  The fossil was found in
Palos Park, IL, along the Cal Sag channel.   Sorry I never measured it,
but I believe it is about 2.5 inches long, just about as wide.

Not much on rock aging, but I believe the bedrock is from the
Galena/Platteville era.

Palos Park should be about T. 37N and R. 14E

Thanks in advance!

You have the rear half of a very nice trilobite. Perhaps someone will be
able to take that down to genus, but I can't.

Definitely a trilobite.  Looks like the posterior end of a calymene
species.  It may have come from the Galena/Platteville area, but only if
there is a Silurian-aged (Niagran) dolomite in that vicinity.  It could
also have come from the vicinity of the Kankakee River State Park.  I don't
know the area very well, so I couldn't tell you for sure what formation it
came from, but it likely came from the Racine Dolomite.  I hope this helps.
