One of the sillier press releases I've seen. Haven't seen the actual
paper in JVP, but it appears to be an oviraptorosaur. The actual
specimen is only a foot, apparently. All the stuff about feathers comes
from comparison with Caudipteryx, and the "brightly colored" part is
just invented. The whole bit about a turkey is ridiculous.

And aren't oviraptorosaurs most plausibly reconstructed as herbivores?

Ouch! What a horribly written article! I especially loved:

"Three other dinosaurs discovered at the monument are expected to be
named soon, Sampson said, including a meat-eating tyrannosaur,..."

Meat eating Tyrannosaur? Are there any other kinds?

Actually, there was this one Tyrannosaur who gave up meat for Lent.
