Hello, Friends
I have an idea to check out, where I should use
a good photomultiplier to register Cerenkov radiation.
As this would be kind of amateur research (low budget thing)
I need your help in finding low cost equipment ideas and sources.
Best regards, L

Your best bet is to go to the nearest university where they probably
have a photomultiplier in their teaching lab. Then you can negotiate
for a small patch of real estate in a lab where you can set up your
experiment.

Photomultipliers are actually pretty cheap, especially old ones.
Search for "photomultiplier" on www.froogle.com. The expensive part is
the magnetic shielding, the PM base, and the HV supply.
