Big Bertha Thing besides
Some people think that Big Bertha is less suitable for the OUSA Astronomy Conf., than for OUSA Classical Particle Conf. Have they heard the long name for CP Conf?
High Energy Particle Physics Rock Hard Science With a Fringe Perspective.
They think that is a better place to put Big Bertha. They must be besides themselves, which proves the thing.

Big Bertha Thing toga
What's a First Aid Tent? What's a toga party, in "Animal House" by National Lampoon? In "Mean Machine" starring Burt Reynolds, he said "If it worked once, it should work twice. Lets do it!" With the First Aid Tent, it worked twice, so it should work three times. The first two battles of cyberspace each started, when a first aid tent was set up. The first was set up on the OUSA Classical Particle conference. The second was set up on four conferences, in the pseudo Student Research Faculty. Needless to say both the conference and the faculty were subsequently closed down by order. "It's a tale to gladden the ears and to grow old listening to," said the giant in the "Chronicles of Thomas Covenant." by Stephen Donaldson.

Big Bertha Thing strategic
Hi there, Further to your concern on my 70K postings. There is one posting per day, cross posted to two newgroups. The contents are the results from my scientific project. Another field of interest is spam attack strategic studies. There are two grounds where off-topic postings are considered to be on-topic. One is a review of off-topic postings, which is linked to below. The other is postings for the benefit of newsgroup users. Results of logs of attacks on newsgroup users is also linked to below. All postings can be filtered using subject big bertha thing. Thank you for your kind attention to this matter. Tony Lance
Big Bertha Thing rim
News from the Asian Rim front. 1. The basic mailing list has 2000 mailboxes. (two-way) 2. The rate of increase is 400 mailboxes per 6 weeks. 3. This gives 4000 mailboxes in 8 months time. 4. The 4th Battle of Cyberspace began on 21st October 2002. 5. There are 2000 new Yahoo mailboxes per 6 weeks. (one-way) 6. Each one has a Big Bertha Thing posting inside it. 7. These are not 2000 world-wide. 8. They are not even 2000 in english. 9. They are 2000 Asian Rim non-english. 10. The 8 months target is 10,000 Yahoo mailboxes closed. 11. The Big Bertha Thing web site shows that one field of interest is spam attack strategic studies. 12. In theory the first three battles were unwinnable too. 13. The targets of all these mailboxes are newsgroup users. 14. Off-topic postings for the benefit of newsgroups are considered to be on-topic. 15. Shi Tao got 10 years for email about China after Yahoo named him to them. (see http) http://www.out-law.com/page-6482

Big Bertha Thing corporate
1. What happened to the guys on the most wanted list? 2. Corporate America opened fire with an industrial strength denial of service attack. 3. It was complete with worm virus. 4. 150K mailbox postings. 5. Daily basis. 6. Unlimited smtp mailboxes and names. 7. Ownership of smtp mailbox provider. 8. This is a proprietorial interest in Usenet newsgroup postings. 9. Big Bertha is now on the list. 10. A sustainable defense would be nice. 11. When the guns fall silent, the battle will be over. 12. There were enough shells for 42 months, without recycling.

Big Bertha Thing mailbox
Hi there, To those who understand, no explanation is necessary. To those who do not understand, no explanation will suffice.
Why rec.autos.sport.nascar? It is one of 50 newsgroups used by the opposition, from the 3rd battle of cyberspace. (see reason below.)
The 4th battle of cyberspace answers spam attacks from Asian rim and denial of service attacks from corporate America, with copies to rec.autos.sport.nascar. Without copies to rec.autos.sport.nascar, there would be no spam attack or denial of service attack or even 4th battle of cyberspace. It is a bit like the chicken and the egg. Which one came first? (See mailbox logs below.)
Did you know that a review listing off-topic postings users' profiles, of newsgroups used and number of postings sent to each newsgroup, is on-topic. Also that an off-topic posting on any subject for the benefit of usenet newsgroups is also on-topic. One of my fields of interest is spam attack strategic studies. Strange to say but this is also on-topic. Thank you, Tony Lance

By way of light relief, a similar general apology, to the one above, would bring solace and comfort, to the victims of such well intentioned postings. Please put it in a Big Bertha and address to CP Conf., Mods Conf. and Philip Sims. That of course, would be the end of spam.

While thus we see your windows block'd, If nobody complains; Yet everybody must be shock'd, To see you don't take pains.

Two drawings of a Gyroscopic Top complete with coil.
Extract from Introductory Chapter;- The fact is that the toe is magnetic, and this being the case it is easy to see that the rolling of the toe on the side of the metal produces the motion. But Figs. XV. (a) and (b) illustrate a top, whose spindle behaves in exactly the same manner as the toe of the spider top, and yet is in no way magnetic. The action is purely mechanical, as we shall explain in later pages. It is an attractive top to watch, especially as it rushes round the corner when it comes to the end of the coil.

Anything but a fact, changes the face of twentieth century science. 9. Gyroscopic Top motion along coil masks a weaker field effect.
The Japanese antigravity experiment only worked one way. With the object spinning one way OK, but the other way failed. Anything but a fact... 10. One way gravity reduced and other way gravity increased, so is bi-polar field efftect. 11. No antigravity, which is not bi-polar, so contradicts bi-polar field effect.
Wave Particle Duality Paradox two slit interference patterns can be disrupted by;- 1. Passive sensor near 2nd slit. 2. Turning room light on. Anything but a fact... 12. LCD digital watch, without backlight, near 2nd slit. 13. Thicker wall between slits.
Redshift is both speedometer and tape measure. According to redshift speedo, the universe has a go faster stripe painted on the outside. Anything but a fact... 14. No Big Bang, which needs go faster stripe on the inside or antigravity. 15. No redshift speedo due to Steady State, which needs neither to have go faster stripe.
Wave Particle Duality needs 1 slit and 2 slit experiments to give different results from same effect. Make the walls inside and outside the slits the same size and centre of gravity. Anything but a fact... 16. Centre of gravity is at slit in one, but not the other. 17. Equal forces act on the slit in one, but not the other. 18. Wave Particle Duality as a field effect gives different results from same effect.

Some Days, Then Some
by Tony Lance
I've had better days, he thought and said. When I could get my sorry butt out of bed. When I wasn't mistook for as good as dead. When they didn't fill my boots with all that lead.
There are days sometimes, of sunshine on my head. Windswept shores viewed from along a beachy-head. Carefree larks, in a clearly blue sky, over-head. Then of course, I became a headmaster, the old man said.

NB. Parallels between old and new testament rosary event readings. They had no wine, yet drank it. Others had wine and drank not. One was crowned with thorns and crucified. Another robed as a king and decreed to hang. One was scourged at the pillar. Another derided at the head of a whole column of soldiers. One was found with the wise men. Another was found, as the wisest man in Egypt. Elizabeth and Rachel were barren and both bore child. One was crucified. and descended into Hell (Limbo), for three days. Another walked the plank and was swallowed by a whale, for three days. One was born in a stable. Another betrothed in a barn. One was crowned Queen of Heaven. Another crowned Queen of an empire. One rose up into Heaven. Another was taken up in a fiery chariot. One was baptised in the Jordan. Another was saved from the bullrushes. That is 10 out of 20 direct parallels. The other 10 are more nuanced, but who can tell?
NB. The Original Divine Office of the Church was Simply to Read Book Of Psalms Once a Week. (Divisions into days and hours can be the 15 minute segments as follows.) 3 by 7 Each psalm is followed by the prayer. Glory by to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beggining, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. 1-9 10-17 18-24 (25-32 33-37 38-44) 45-53 54-60 61-67 (68-72 73-77 78-84) 85-89 90-98 99-104 (105-109 110-117 118-118) 119-131 132-139 140-150
NB. On meditation and contemplation. You have to dig the field before you can watch the flowers grow. Both are problem solving.
Dread Visions Six Harms By Tony Lance (Based on the writings of St.John of the Cross; the Mystic Doctor of the Church.) Faith fails, replaced by a vision sensible. What we see is more real, than God invisible. Visions turn the spirit from its flight Heavenward. Had Mary Magdallen touched the feet of the Lord. Then grounded in faith, would she never be. How can we hold this vision dearer than Thee. In nakedness of spirit, hold ourselves renouncible. Grace fails, imperceptible forsaken for perceptible. The gift becomes a right, which denies the gift. Decide the vision not from God, with Satan left. Seeking after visions is a sinfull occasion. Turning into diabolical, that divine vision. With the Devil disguised, as an angel of light, And man too ignorant, to even take fright. Grace cannot be rejected; into the soul infused. The taint of evil can be rejected, by vision refused.

Anybody heard of the fly-paper trap? Where all the flies are collected, in an unsightly mess, hanging from the kitchen ceiling. The expensive version is the lizard with a long tongue, that retracts after each catch.
Take an uncensored version of a usenet newsgroup, show the subject line of each thread header, with the total number of postings and the net number of postings after extracts. Put the total number of extracts, in the first line, at the top of the list of postings. Anyone wishing to search the extracts clicks on it and finds each person extracted with 2 lines each. The first line shows the number of thread headers and the second the number of replies. Further clicks go down to posting level.
Extract everyone with more than 1000 postings on any single newsgroup, from all newsgroups.

In answer to your question, yes I'm happy to be archivist - my 486 'boasts' a reasonable amount of hard disk space and I could allocate about 500MB to the job with as many backup 100MB floppies (on a zip drive) as is necessary. I'm a bit puzzled about the email and password bit - do you mean that I should log on as AML34 with your password and download your mail and files? I'm not terribly comfortable with that idea - I would much rather you forward the relevant messages and attachments to me rather than I should find myself reading all your mail.
Or perhaps it might be better to set up a closed subconference, one that can only be accessed by your volunteers and I would get archive the files from there.
Or you can ask people to copy them to me or mail them to me directly.
Have a think and let me know - I would rather not mess around with your mailbox - I'm pretty sure it's against the rules anyway!
Next ++++ I have downloaded and run the Pastures software and there are lots of things I don't understand (probably because I don't exactly understand the physics - and I'm not even going to try to do that right now - although I think I understand what your goal is). First thing I didn't understand was why working through the Worked Example for Option 1 - the seven-hour bit took my machine about 20 minutes. So either I'm missing something fairly fundamental or there is a much bigger speed differential between a 386 and a 486DX-66 than I would have thought!
Then as Option 4 in the Worked example was next, I tried that, but it didn't work - presumably because it shouldn't be next, it should be after Option 3?
When you refer to 'Edit particle.dat' are you referring to the Dos Edit command or are you using the term Edit more loosely than that?
Anyway, having made a miserable attempt at running the examples I decided that I really need my hand held on this one. I'm afraid that perhaps your documentation steps just aren't quite small enough for me. Would it be too much trouble to go over it again at half speed? If it would and I can't be of much help to you running the damn thing, I will still happily act as archivist because I am now quite intrigued by it all!
Cheers for now
Pam PS I don't understand your Big Bertha messages either - and I've heard of Serpico, there was a not very good film made about the case a few years ago that has been doing the rounds on Sky. PPS: Did you ever get Philip Sims on board? You certainly managed to alienate a few mods though didn't you? <<<Grin>>>
Cheers once more Pam

I haven't been much on line for some time, I come here to see loads of B.B.T. stuff in my mail box which i got no clue what to do with it.
Is this a kind of joke taking so long. I recall some time ago couple of people wanted to be off the list but some how i still see their names on mmmmmm I see some light now ah no don't worry that is the monitor ON ;o)
what makes me wonder, i see the OUSA Controller on the list, mmmmm i am sure she/he/they got something more important to do, or am i wrong.
that leavs me with 3 options:
a) This is all a joke and i just did not get it. b) This is some kind of a test to see how much mentally are we prepaired to take. c) You playing with fire.
Now if it is "a" it is taking too long and people are getting upset (I myself one of them) I hope it is not "b", I re-checked your resume and you seem to me not the person who will do such a thing. you more into computers right. that leaves "c", well what shell i say, maybe we are lucky you got a 386 PC and not a PII 300 :o))
There is a conference about Programming and programmers, why don't you come by and share with us your expereince in this field, you seem you got lots of it and will be of good help. I have to say i am the mod of that conference but have not been there for more than 3 months, i feel like a stranger now ;o))
I have included every one in my reply (although i don't know who are the "group" ) and will try to keep it for this time only.
I read your message about internet and did not know in which conference to reply to, well it sounds good. as i said it SOUNDS. my advice never trust anything free, specialy on the net. they have here some kind of a free telephone they say it costs you nothing and you can speak as much as you want, BUT while you are in conversation, every 2 minutes you get an advirt and you have to press a key for yes/no if you press the wrong key by misstake you might bet something home of 100 which you don't want at all.
now my interesting part of the reply, The Internet ;o) here in Holland they will have access at the end of this year through the tv cable. and Holland is the best country in that way, since every single house got a tv cable that is handled by the cityhall. and they said the speed will be more than 10 times an ISDN line. now that is something interesting.
OK enought talking now, back to work ;o)
take care
and keep your fingers off the fire

Big Bertha Thing china
There is an old chinese curse, which goes "Live in interesting times." In which times, they used to get their heads chopped off. They used to go around saying "Thats not so good, thats not so funny or thats not so interesting."
There was a nation of them, now some 1 billion strong. There are even bigger numbers in OUSA Classical Particle Conf., such as 227879226 photons in an electron. Every one should have one.

INTRODUCTORY LETTER
One of the first things I did was invent a new kind of clock, a so called perfect clock. One whose period does not vary with motion. Actually I did not invent it. Its construction has been known for years but I am the first one to actually use it as a clock, to obtain scientific results using such a clock. As you know many advancements in science have accompanied advancements in time keeping. Using such a clock it is possible to obtain varying velocities for the speed of light. Therefore using such a clock it is possible to invalidate Einsteins 2nd postulate, that the speed of light is constant. By doing this it is possible to develop a alternative physics. Unfortunately this physics is almost identical to Newtonian physics so there are no new developments from this analysis. But it is a valid Physics not just a approximation. There are two valid physics now Newtonian and Einsteinian.
The weakest part of my theory is the first theorem. That time equals motion. This is because it is a assumed premise. I tried to give it as much justification for it as I could but I could not prove it. All great theories have to start with a assumed premise. As far as I know there is no proof for such theorems as "A body in motion remains in motion..." or for the notion that all motion is relative. You just have to start off with a assumed premise, that's just the way it is. I feel mine is not too egregious. Therefore stay with me though this weak part of my work, please do not dismiss it to quickly or out of hand. It is the results of this premise that give credence to it.
By beginning with this premise I was able to determine what time is, what motion is, what space is, how gravity works including how all the forces work, that space and time are both forms of energy and subject to the laws of particle physics , determine the arrow of time, determine why the speed of light always appears to us to be constant, unify not only Newtonian and Einsteinian physics but also relativity and quantum physics and stumble apon a new law for physics.

1. DEVOTION
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The Earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Then God said "Let there be light." And there was light. And God saw the light that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. -Holy Christian Bible

Blessed be the name of the Lord who was, who is, and who is to come. Worthy are You O' Lord to receive honor, glory and blessing because You and You alone have created all things. By Your will they were created, and have been created and without You nothing that was created would exist. Before time You laid the foundations of the Earth. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His Handiwork. The Earth is the Lord's ,and all its fullness.
Day until day utters speech and night until night reveals knowledge. The word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in truth. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is full of wisdom, Teach me Your ways O'Lord, do not be silent to me, to the end that my glory may sing praise to you. 2. To my mother and maternal grandmother.
Science owes them a great debt. And so do I.
3. ABSTRACT
THE RELATIVISTIC QUANTUM HYPOTHESES:
That A L L the phenomena of nature as we know it, i.e., mass, energy, space, time, motion, etc... are the effects of subatomic particle exchanges. That for each and every physical manifestation there is a associated particle and for every particle there is a physical manifestation. All causes are particle causes and without a particle there is neither cause nor sensation. We only experience what we come directly in contact with. (Action by contact) Reality, the physical universe, is the sum total of our experience of the particles we receive. No particle - no experience. We experience particles and that is all. Subatomic particles are the cause of all are physical experiences and without them we have no physical experiences. That all experience of phenomenon is quantified the experience is discrete because the cause is discrete. No particle no experience no experience no particle. The universe stimulates our senses one particle at a time.
4. INTRODUCTION
To be able to advance the relativistic quantum hypophysis one thing must be done - associate with every phenomenon a particle or series of particles. There are several immediate difficulties here. One, there are as many phenomenons are there are experiences, millions of them. Which experiences go with which particles or series of particles? Also all particles are probably not known so any analysis will be incomplete at this time. The most logical course of action is to create a category of fundamental phenomenon, associate particles to these and then derive complex phenomenon from a fundamental analysis.
The most basic fundamental units of physics seem to me to be: (I) mass (II) energy (III) space (IV) time
At any rate if the relativistic quantum hypophysis can be demonstrate for these it is a sufficient start. Quantification type theories already exist for matter and energy are well established and accepted by all. For matter the theory is called Atomic theory or Atomism and was discovered by Leucippus and Democritus. The theory basically attests to the fact that matter is little particles. For energy the theory is called Quantification Theory and was discovered by Max Planks. Energy has the same characteristic as mass of being quantized or existing as separate particles. Therefore we can pass over both mass and energy in considering the relativistic quantum hypophysis by granting that the hypophysis has already been demonstrate for these two quantities.
Further I feel it is only required that equivalence to either mass or energy be demonstrate to assume a quantity must exist quantified. By equivalence I mean transformation either in theory or in practice. By the first law of thermodynamics there can be no fractions left over for this would mean loss.
This only leaves space and time to be demonstrated.
Not only is there no quantum theory of space and time there is no theory whatsoever as to the cause of their generation. From whence comes space? From whence comes time? There has never been a adequate theory as to the nature of space and time. As to the properties of space and time some were discovered and only recently by Einstein. But wherever a property arises we know some relation, some connection, must exist, IE, physical connection, so that one quantity, like time, can be depended on another quantity, in this case motion. Otherwise how is it dependent? Every property must have a cause. (Principle of Cause and Effect) It should be obvious that these connections require some particle, (action by contact) or some force (action at a distance) to operate. We presently have no other option unless it waits to be discovered.
From such considerations it is possible to develop both a theory of time and a theory of space. Theories that are homogeneous to quantum physics and a quantum universe. A space and time that are materials, physical quantities, quantum, quantified, just like mass and energy. With materialization of space and time it is easy to demonstrate quantum properties for these materials exactly has been done for the other constituents of the universe. Time and space become material and quantified. Space particles, time particles! Then time and space can come under the province of quantum mechanics and elementary particle physics and obey quantum mechanical laws and the laws of elementary physics like any other particles. Space or its particles becomes a subject of elementary particle physics! Time becomes a subject of elementary particle physics! This is a extraordinary implication in physical science. Once these facts are uncovered a new science unfolds, almost trivially. The science that I call Relativistic Quantum Physics.
