So you forgot the power plants that are run by hydroelectric, wind,
and a tiny bit of solar already then?
Go place your signs on the power plants that are bad themselves.
Don't place the sign on the car that used a combination of the powerplants.
You might as well place a sign on yourself too for making CO2 when
you breathe.

Typical lefty liberal living in DREAMLAND! Obviously you own ZERO
solar panels, but nevertheless are ready to tell everyone else to own
them! I strongly suggest you read a few freshman science texts and
learn that quantity matters. I also suggest you charge YOUR OWN car
with solar panels for some first-hand experience with "your"
technology.
MORON.

Why not put a sign on yourself that says, " I AM AN IGNORANT
MORON!" ? You don't get it at all do you? When you power your car on
electricity rather than oil, you have switched from a natural resource
starting to run out to one that gives us 300 years of time to develop
some energy technology that actually works rather than your imaginary
world.
But you are right that coal is a nasty polluter. THIS IS why electric
cars are GOOD. They concentrate attention on this serious coal problem
that needs solved right now, instead of all the blatant idiocy that
you and yours are promoting that deflect attention from real problems
and real solutions and get the world chasing its tail for the profit
of the few at the expense of all of us who live here!
Idiot!
> 2. Your company provides the car with a REMOVABLE battery pack.
Why? Is there some point here as to why a pack that weighs a ton and
only lasts 5 years has to be removable? OK, to replace it, but
somehow I don't think that is what you are talking about is it? I
hereby appoint YOU to be the official battery pack switcher so
electric car owners can have one pack charging while the other is
driving around. What is your phone number so we can send you over to
do this job each day.
1. Weight of battery pack.
2. idiot.
> 3. Your company sells an extra battery pack or more with the car.
1. You mean so BOTH packs can die at the same time after 5 years?
2. "green" Moron.

Ignoramus. Whacha gonna do? Pass a law that everyone has to move to
Arizona? You have NO idea how stupid you are. I suggest the
automakers GIVE you an solar-charged electric car so you can feel SO
SUPERIOR to all us clowns... as you pedal your bike to work (If you
have a job, which I doubt!)

Hey a.shole. I happen to OWN a solar panel and charging system. Just
great for powering some roadside car counter, but I just want to see
you trying to get enough power to drive your car to work each day! Oh
that's right, you don't work so a trip to Mc D's or to get some more
weed for your stash is all the driving you need. And for the record
solar panel charging really seems to shorten the life of batteries
unless properly designed. But what would you know about any practical
questions like that?

You have. You are a moron. And by the way, while we are at it, let us
take a bit of time to note that CO2 is not an air pollutant, has
NOTHING to do with "Global Warming" and is clearly a POLITICAL problem
that needs to be dealt with before it destroys the First World while
making a few fabulously rich.
I guess you figure that if a politician as dumb and full of lies as
Algore [inventor of the INTERNET and AGW] can win the Nobel Prize,
that maybe there is hope for someone as dumb as you (IF you make a
loud enough public noise!) I don't think so.
We'll be watching for that Nobel Prize...

I'm incapable of believing that the OP could be this stupid, therefore
he must be simply a Troll.
Cutting to the chase, does anyone believe that he actually does what
he claims? If so, this guy is rather borderline, and I am damn glad
that I don't live where this clueless lunatic does. (I'll hope that he
lives in CA and not in MA.)
Still, a funny read, and I don't believe a line of it! (Lol)

hey man!!
polution is a factor but at this time not the most important
there are prior factors
1
to lower the energy price that is becoming impossible
2
the lectric car has to be developed while
looking further to future
**while other finer sources of electricity will be developed *(*(and
you bet
they will be ** it si mainly a matter of investment )
and in future you will have the luxury to be a chooser
as for now
there is stil a long wat ubtill batteries will be developed to answer
the problem satisfactory
so to sum up"
betetr batteries and mass production of electricity
for instance fusion !!!

Y. Porat I have gone green. I just bought a calculator that charges on
Sun light.Have only fluorescent bulbs, but to balance this I bought a
Hummer. It was sold very cheap because it is a gas guzzler. I like
cheap, and best to keep in mind money is energy Bert
Jeff▲Relf - 03 Jul 2008 12:56 GMT
How much did you pay for your Hummer
and what are you going to do with it ?
Well, that was a stupid rant.
Power Plants (even oil fired ones) are far more efficient at producing
the power to run and electric vehicle then a gasoline engine. So
plugging in an electric car still produces emissions (at the power
plant) but it's LESS emissions.
Personally, I get my electric power from wind turbines so my future
"plug in" car will indeed be zero emissions.
So there!

1) Electric motor in 90% efficient, your grid electricity is coming
from Power Plant that is
45% efficient, uses cheap coal and potentially clear nuclear (some
wind and solar coming up)
at the other hand
2) Gasoline motor is 25% efficient, uses expensive oil that is about
to be used up in 50 years
Do the math which combination will waste more energy and pollute more,
and which is more expensive.
At present prices, it cost me 4$ to go to work on gasoline driven
Prius, and 70$ on charged
from the grid plug-in Prius (it is the same car with the same energy
needed to drive it!).
Prices reflect the efficiency to society - electrically powered cars
are much more efficient
even without any changes to the grid.
And of cause, Amen to home-installed solar cells, but to charge your
extra battery you will
need to cover your entire roof with them (again, do the math of needed
Wh), and they will
cost twice more than the car.
As for extra battery, much better deal is to feed back electricity
into the grid during the
day. Saves a lot of cost - presently plug-in battery is more expensive
than the car itself!

Upps, that came out wrong. It was 70 cents, NOT 70$.
