Come on Andro. You just don't get it! When you face a major problem
like cancer or oil running out, the answer is that it's always better
to DO SOMETHING; than to do nothing! You know" Bouncing a basketball
to "cure" cancer, or a large SUV roadtrip to bring awareness to the
energy problem! Makes no difference if the things you are doing are
actually making the problems worse. The key is that to the world you
"care" and are making an effort to show that you care! OF course the
best thing to do is to spend a lot of "tax" money on unworkable
"solutions" like windmills and dams so as to make sure that the needed
research to make workable solutions practical (like making coal burn
"clean") never have enough money or manpower to get them solved. Who
cares if in a few years we are all back driving ox carts? At least
then bards will be singing the praises of the caring folks in
California who tried valiantly to save civilization, but somehow
failed. Let's face it. History and politics is FAR more important than
civilization!

Hey! Very cool website! Very nice collection of Tesla memorabilia and
photos! Photos much higher quality than the usual versions you see
around the net! Very few people seem to realize that Tesla almost
single-handedly invented the 20th century. Some even now still deny he
had anything to do with it! Hence the educational work of groups like
the Tesla Society are important!

Well, maybe no "now" but "soon"!
So how about you guys at the Tesla Society use your money and clout to
dig out some of his secret work from the government warehouses?

If you are waiting for a soluton to energy problems as a result of
Tesla's speculations after his insanity struck, don't hold your
breathe.
Tesla's qualifiation as an electrical power category electrical
engineer cannot be questioned, and his contributions to the practical
uses of multi-phase power transmissiontion over power lines was, in my
view, that of a genius far in advance of his time, although Tesla was
no Steinmetz.
Evidence suggests that Tesla could not comprehend the subject of
electromagnetic waves or their propagation. He clearly did not grasp
the works of Maxwell, not because he was incapable of doing this in
his youth, but the most credible explanation of this lapse was that
either insantity or some other mental disability had began to enter
the scene. In his work with the wireless transmission of electrical
power, their is no indication that he even understood the inverse-
square law that accompanies the transmission of electromagnetic
waves. Never once did he see this problem, and I've never even one
has seen any writings of Tesla to indicate the he even knew that this
concept was rather basic physics.
Tesla, in spite of his youthful genius, in later life never seemed to
realize that when you transmit vast abouts of power via
electromagnetic radiation, most of it is lost, and/or creates
potentially harmful consequences. I believe that had his brain been
fully functioning, he would have realized all of these things.
