a malicious attack.

aspersion: an abusive attack on a person's character or good name

In English and American law, and systems based on them, libel and slander
are two forms of defamation (or defamation of character), which is the tort
or delict of making a false statement of fact that injures someone's
reputation. "Defamation" is however the generally-used term internationally,
and is accordingly used in this article where it is not necessary to
distinguish between "libel" and "slander".

Willful and malicious written (libel) or oral (slander) statement which is
false and which damages another's reputation.

idiot: a clueless imbecile who has nothing better to do than post
lots of mindless, off-topic articles to prove he can cut-
      and paste text.

Rage Bilge: A raging, flaming troll on sci.physics.relativity
who lives to flame, defame and destroy.

Flaming is the act of posting messages that are deliberately
hostile and insulting. Occasionally, flamers attempt to assert
their authority and aim to establish a position of superiority
by depreciating others in vicious attacks and scurrilous lies,
in which case they are trolls. Typically, trolls are incapable
of building, only distorting. Trolls always avoid posting clear,
truthful argument based on reason, fact and demonstrable
understanding, even if they have the expertise to articulate
a respectable opinion.

Ok, so Bilge is a phuckwit.
Why communicate with a phuckwit?
Would you like to see my list of phuckwits?
I have half-wits (that includes you) with IQ 50, dimwits IQ 25,
nitwits IQ 1-10, and phuckwits.
Androcles.

Which presumes than they have a reputation to damage.

There was a Chief of Police in a small town in the mid west who was
called incompetent and corrupt by the local newspaper.  The Chief sued
for libel.
The jury returned a verdict for the Chief on the grounds that he had
been libeled, and then awarded the Chief $1 in damages.  The newspaper
thereafter referred to the Chief of Police as the man with the $1
reputation.
