for small quanitities a column would give you sample sized amounts but
if the quanities are greater.  Probably the easiest method for the
acids to be extracted from the aliphatic alcohols would be alkaline
water, then fractional crystalisation, however you kind of need to know
what your after for the last method to be any thing like convient.
