Hello all, can anyone suggest a clean and high yield synthetic
procedure to diaminomaleonitrile avoiding polymerization.
Thank you in advance,
Irene

Diaminomaleonitrile is sold by a number of vendors including Aldrich at
a very reasonable price in multigram quantities.

It is a fairly common compound and there are numerous published
synthesis.

It is included as a reagent in Fieser&Fieser and I suspect that it
could be found in the Merck Index.

A search through patents reveleals many hits.

If you only have internet available, I would suggest to make a search
in some patent server.

Best regards.
