source tracking problem31 Jul 2005 14:59 GMT7
Is there a way to track a moving speaker using multiple microphones in
a noisy environments. Do I have to assume the speaker is far away the
microphones? I apprecited any information. Thanks a lot.
Outdoor louver noise levels28 Jul 2005 13:53 GMT2
Noise data is published for most supply and return registers and grills
sold for indoor applications.  Similar data is not available for
outdoor intake and exhaust louvers.  Pressure drop data and water
penetration data is published, but not noise.  Typically these louvers

Acoustic Properties of Asphalt19 Jul 2005 21:09 GMT2
Does anyone know where I can find (or have) the acoustic properties of
asphalt? Denisty, shear velocity, compressional velocity, attenuation?
European to American units: Young's Modulus and Damping conversion16 Jul 2005 21:39 GMT5
I am trying to use a prediction program called INSUL.  The Young
Modulus can be entered either in units called GPa or in Hertz*Kg per
square meter.  The information from the manufacturer is in Durameters.
What is the conversion?

Attentuation of ducts used for dust extraction12 Jul 2005 10:21 GMT3
A friend of mine who runs an engineering company has asked if extraction
duct resonance can be attenuated.  These ducts are used for removing all
types of machining dust from cutting equipment - mainly MDF dust.
Since the dust will clog any porous lining inside the duct, what's ...

STC estimation 06 Jul 2005 02:46 GMT4
Hello, I would like to ask about the method of estimating STC values of
double glazed windows.  E.g. I look up some textbook that a  "8mm-12mm air
gap-10mm" double glazed system has STC of 37 .... based on this data,  if I
want to know the STC of a "8mm-7mm air gap-8mm" system, ...
Uncertainty estimation04 Jul 2005 06:42 GMT1
ISO1996 gives indications about how to measure fluctuating and steady noise
but nothing about how to estimate the uncertainty of measurements of
enviromental noise, such as outdoor or inside buildings measurements. I
would like to know the experts point of view on this subject.
