When doing an FSTC test of a partition in an existing building, is it
recommended to keep the sound source off the floor to reduce flanking
through the floor structure from one room to another?  We are using
the Norsonic 260 speaker system.

Well I assume that is what it is. Scenario musician/s in a pub, ie non-ideal
environment. , so hard wall surfaces, using a pair of speakers on tripod
stands so about head height. Fine at low sound level, but sometime into the
set they turn the level up.

Does anyone have a source for information on the picket fence effect
in acoustics, particularly as it relates to finned walls in an
auditorium?  Each fin is 2" thick by 7" deep spaced at 9" on center.
These fins are at both sidewalls and continue over the ceiling.
