I am an author writing a novel whose plot deals with

We have been analysing mercury in nitric acid digested fish tissue  by
CVAAS but we want to switch to CVAFS instead. We are however
encountering problems with poor precision.
We are using a PSA Millenium instrument and SnCl2 redudctant.

At our laboratory we are using a lot of chloroform (ca 10liter/day)
for cleaning laboratory glassware. In this glassware we dissolve
polymer in cresol for e.g. viscosity measurements. Also the viscosity
meters are rinsed with chloroform.

A colleague and I are attempting to validate an HPLC impurities method
for a drug substance we're working on.  During robustness testing, we
suddenly observed an extra, never-before-seen peak eluting immediately
after our active peak, with a resolution of < 1.5 and a relative peak

responsible for 'fresh' or 'clean' odors or perfumes in products such
