A thermometer gives a reading of 96.1F +/- .2F
What is the temp in C? What is the uncertainty?

I had earlier asked the references to the titrimetric determination of
EDTA in milk and someone referred me to an article in "The Analyst",
which was certainly useful but does not involve back-titration of EDTA
but the main focus was on the removal of phosphate in milk by

 "The residual water in solvents can be removed by pressing a sodium
wire into the solvent. This method cannot be applied for halogenated
