Fluoride measurement: ISE vs. IC27 Jul 2006 22:24 GMT4
I am trying to measure low-level of fluoride (hopefully below 0.01 ppm)
in a defined bacterial medium with about 400 ppm of chloride and 1000
ppm of phosphates. I would like to get some opinions about which method
is better. So far I didn't have success with either of the method.
Agilent HPLC Chemstation Software B.02.0127 Jul 2006 14:56 GMT7
We are trying to install Chemstation Software on a new PC (Dell not HP)
so that we can connect our two HPLCs throught the new PC. The
chemstation software is installed on the new PC, but we cannot get the
computer and instrument to communicate. We have tried to install

Determination of formaldehyde 37%24 Jul 2006 21:48 GMT1
Can any body explain me in detail with chemical equations and
procedures including preparation of reagents on how to determine the
assay of formaldehyde 37%by iodometry using sodium thiosulphate using
starch indicator (British Pharmacopeia method).
Detecting synthetic oil24 Jul 2006 18:49 GMT18
Is there any chemical or physical test I can perform on the oil in my
car engine to determine if it is ordinary oil or full synthetic using
materials I might find around the home?

Qualitative measurement of ion content22 Jul 2006 17:43 GMT2
Is there any way of measuring ion content (if possible, total ion
contents) qualitatively?
I want a quick and easy method other than ion choromatography.
Thanks in advance.
Effect of Flow Rate on Area Count10 Jul 2006 16:26 GMT3
Can someone please help me explain to my boss (because he won't except
that this is just the way it is) why and how flow rate has an effect on
peak areas?
Thanks!
HPLC/UV Effect of Flow rate on Area Count10 Jul 2006 15:50 GMT1
Clarification on earlier post:
Can someone please explain why and how flow rate has an effect on peak
areas?  A coworker is in the middle of validating a new method for the
assay of one of our products.  We have a method that works but uses an
fluorescence of turbid samples06 Jul 2006 05:28 GMT7
Hello friends
I was interested in doing some fluorescence of turbid samples. In all
fluorescence book I read this topic is treated at very low level and
with no systematic approach. Do you know a book or review that can be of
