Battery charger31 Oct 2003 16:00 GMT4
I'm looking for a simple scheme to load a little VARTA battery of 3.6
V, 280 ma.
It's wroten : 14 hours 28 ma, but I don't know the type of battery.
I have a variable alimentation, with current limiter, but it does'nt
TBAP purification31 Oct 2003 15:30 GMT1
Could someone give me a protocol for the purification of TBAP from
Aldrich.  TBAP, that i have in my laboratory, used as a supporting
electrolyte, gives a strong signal due probably to the presence of an
impurity in it.
coating strength - electroplated vs. electroless29 Oct 2003 12:37 GMT4
Would someone point me to a source for information on this, please?
Ideally it would be a table for various methods and metals.  Google,
et. al. gives me too much info.
Is there a rule of thumb for this?

Can anybody tell me something more about Lithium Polymer batteries?
Especially on first-charge topic... I've bough cell phone today with
LithPoly battery and I'm wondering what's the best way to use it...
As I inserted SIM card I turned on the phone and it indicated that the
Ni-Cd Vs Ni-MH28 Oct 2003 16:00 GMT4
The manual for my HP Photosmart camera ( the design is at least 5 years old)
tells me not to use rechargeable batteries. Recently I replaced the 4-AA
1.5V batteries with 4-AA 800mAh 1.2V Ni-Cd batteries and they performed very
well - they lasted longer than the originals. I have ...
NiMh test data -where?26 Oct 2003 23:48 GMT2
Does anyone know of some test data that shows what NiNh cells are optimized
for low use and low load applications, and which are optimized for frequent
use and high load applications?
For example: for low load application, internal resistance can be higher than
NiCD charger for NiMH batteries?24 Oct 2003 20:49 GMT3
I have a DECT phone which came with two NiCD AA 600 mAh 1.2V batteries
from GP, but since it is giving me problems I tried to replace the
batteries with two NiMH AA 2200 mAh 1.2V from hama. It works a treat
now.
Redox Calibration Solutions24 Oct 2003 07:15 GMT1
I am looking to make some redox calibration standards, specifically
200mV, and 124mV and was wondering if anyone has any info on the best
raw materials to use for these.
I need them to last as long as possible so any info on that would be
Batteries used in PDAs23 Oct 2003 23:00 GMT1
I was wondering if anybody can tell me more about the batteries used
in PDAs. Is it true that of the 14 million PDAs available today 50%
are serviced by alkaline and the rest 50% is catered by rechargeable
batteries. And within rechargeable battery what % goes to lithium ion,
i am looking for oxygen ion transfer poymer membrane23 Oct 2003 21:21 GMT1
i am looking for polymeric membrane for oxygen ion tranport for fuel
cell applications. i have the information about ceramic membranes.
ceramic membranes operate and fairly high temperature, for my
application temperature is limited. i can not take my fuel cell beyond
Half life of N2?23 Oct 2003 19:34 GMT4
I use an ozone generator to control the population of mold spores in a clean
environment. I constructed it myself, basically it's a pyrex tube wrapped in
conducting foil with a conducting wire mesh rolled inside. A very high
alternating voltage is imposed across the foil and mesh, ...
20 NiMH in Series23 Oct 2003 10:45 GMT2
Does anyone know why you shouldn't connect 20 or more NiMH prismatic
cells in series?  It says not to on the packet the battery came in.
What is the difference between 19 and 20 cells? (1.2V I realise), but
why is it not permissable?

Can we charge NiMH batteries with NiCd Charger?21 Oct 2003 23:20 GMT3
Can we charge NiMH batteries with NiCd Charger?
Will it work? will it damage the battries or the charger?
Can the batteries get fully charge?
Anyone tried?
Perhydrol H2O2 what catalyst do to use?19 Oct 2003 09:34 GMT1
(3-6%) 2 H2O2 -----> 2 H2O + O2
What catalyst the best to use, so in order to to alter him np on month
once, or this can be lead, silver, MnO2? Can some different? maybe ceramics?
it walks about production in aquarium oxygen.
