Earlier today, I recharged 10 dead nine-volt batteries in series using the 110-volt plug and a high-voltage didoe. Within minutes, the lids of all the batteries had popped out and the metal casings of some of the batteries soon melted. Pretty cool ... you should tri it.

Wich suggestion do you have for a device equipped with a single rechargeable Li-ion cell (900-1400mAh) continuosly powered from the main to keep the cell charged and safe? I've read trickle charge is not allowed with such chemistry.

Many people died in fire accident because they found 9V fire alarm didn't work. However, no engineer seems able to design a better battery for fire alarm to work all the time. Do you have any idea?

Hey, I noticed that non-rechargeable batteries almost never explode (only 1 in 25 or so cases) when recharged ... I wonder why they tell you not to do it.

I can't recharge my JVC camcorder battery, BN-V12U 6v 1200mAh, Cd Ni-Cd. The battery has not been used that much but has been left for months at a time disconnected from the camcorder. Each time I went to use it I often had to boost some life into it with my car charger (4AMP) ...
