Hi, All; I have a project where a part made out of aluminum is to be screwed into a part out of copper. I don't see any problem but others tell me there could be some sort of galvanic corrosion.

| When will batteries grow beyond sub-C? | 22 Jul 2004 16:53 GMT | 22 |
Sub-C cells are the standard for NiCd and NiMH power tool battery packs. As voltages grow, so does pack size. At some point, the pack size curve will reach a point where the tool will be too heavy for all but the most macho professional construction / repair /

| Cost of Lithium Ion $/kwh | 21 Jul 2004 19:36 GMT | 1 |
What is the current and projected eventual (with mass production, cost improvements, etc.) of lithium ion? Is $100/kwh possible? Also is there a potential to increase deep cycles from 300 to 3000

| Why does UPS battery have such a poor life? | 21 Jul 2004 04:45 GMT | 18 |
The recommended battery change interval for UPS is typically 3 to 5 years. When I got a UPS used, it came with a battery from Dec 2001, pretty much dead. I searched around for a bit and I guess after a few

| Co2 Generation | 20 Jul 2004 22:25 GMT | 4 |
I am looking to generate Co2 via some way of electrolysis. Oxalic acid seems to be a good source, where it is electrolyzied in solution across a semi permiable membrane. Co2 Should be emitted on the anode, and hydrogen on the cathode. I do not know if this will

| PbO2 electroplating weirdness | 20 Jul 2004 18:43 GMT | 4 |
I've recently been trying to make lead dioxide anodes by electrolyzing a solution containing 200 g/L lead nitrate, 5 g/L copper nitrate and 20 mL/L 65% nitric acid. With a graphite anode and a copper cathode the lead dioxide plates

| Current wisdom on Li Ion charging | 20 Jul 2004 10:29 GMT | 7 |
I've heard so many different stories regarding battery memory that I'm never sure what to believe. (NiMH was supposed to solve this at one point, right?) Anyway, in regard to Li Ion batteries, specifically those for laptops:

| C&D Re-chagable Batteries and the MaH rating | 19 Jul 2004 23:48 GMT | 14 |
bought some Energizer Rechargable C batteries for my cycle lights and they were crap, really crap they kept letting me down, I soon found out some facts. C and D size batteries only tend to have a slightly better MaH
