Simple Battery, Help28 Oct 2004 15:36 GMT3
I thought if I used an aluminum electrode and a gold
electrode with table salt or lemon juice electrolyte, I would get about 3
volts. I only get about .63 volts
I don't have the potential list handy but these materials have are around
My batteries are haunted by evil spirits !28 Oct 2004 13:07 GMT1
I think my batteries are haunted by evil spirits from another plane of
existence.They fail very often.
What can I do to remove the evil spirits?
Tried charging SLA batteries at 0.5C or more?26 Oct 2004 19:02 GMT4
I've charged gel/sla batteries at 50%-60% of capacity without
apparent problems. The manufacturers state that 0.1C (10% of Amp
Hour capacity) is "recommended", but that takes too long for
practical use.
AGM batt23 Oct 2004 21:47 GMT4
Looking for pros-cons on absorbed glass matte batts for deep cycle
applications for residential power backup with inverter.
Any major advantgages over acid-lead that justify the price of these batts?

Anyone Have Experience With Evercel Nickel Zinc Rechargables?21 Oct 2004 18:06 GMT3
I bought some 85 Amp hour trolling motor batteries, and I wondered if
anyone here has any experience with these that they would care to relate.

Another Sump Pump Battery Question20 Oct 2004 03:46 GMT13
They replaced the charger that was overcharging, making the dual
lead-acid batteries release hydrogen.  So far, the CO sensor is not
registering any H2 with the new charger.
Here's the problem: The guy who installed the new charger said that as
Battery Scam Alert17 Oct 2004 00:36 GMT3
All batteries are rechargeable. Rechargeable batteries are a scam. Therefore,
all batteries are scams. Right??
exercise16 Oct 2004 13:50 GMT6
On my chemistry lesson I had this sort of exercise:
Make the balance in this reduction-oxydation reacition:
a) K2CrO4(aq) + C3H7OH + HCL ---> CrCl3(aq) + C2H5CHO + H2O + KCl(aq)
b)MoS2 + Na2CO3 + O2 ----T-----> Na2MoO4 + NaSO4 + CO2
Problem letting cells in unbalanced NiMH/NiCd pack self-discharge?15 Oct 2004 20:55 GMT23
I was wondering if there was any possibility of damage to a cell that
had a lower voltage than the others in a series-connected pack of NiCd
or NiMH cells and was allowed to self-discharge down to zero volts
(and beyond)?
Amps15 Oct 2004 17:30 GMT4
How many amps in a Duracell D battery?
Thanks
calculation of elctrode potential15 Oct 2004 15:24 GMT12
Hallo everybody,
I am looking for Equation(s) describing potential of electrode for
reversible system (Nernstian case) with simultaneous adsorption of Red form
i.e. in solution exist Ox and Red in concentration [Ox] and [Red] and
numerical method for calculating concentration profile15 Oct 2004 12:53 GMT3
I am looking for numerical methods for amperometry. I am trying to
calculate the concentration profile of two substances in solution.
These two substances form a redox couple and react on two electrodes.
I need the static solution and the solution over time as well.
Reduction and Oxidation potential of pyridine15 Oct 2004 08:23 GMT4
I am doing research in the area of nanotech and for one of my projecs
I need to know reduction and oxidation potential of pyridine. I have
done quite extensive search of various Journal databases all the way
back to 1940's. I have also searched large number of various Handbooks
