I need a battery for the phone, it's sony and it says: "to reduce risk of fire use only sony BP-T18" the battery looks just like 3 AA cells, I suppose they're NICd batteries. now, is it ok if I buy (or make myself) something else and put in there?

Anyone know what is the case material for the 12V, 13AH black SLA batteries used in residential burglar alarms? PVC? Polyethylene? Polypropylene? I want to find an appropriate cement that will adhere.

Can anybody provide an outline of Debye-Falkenhagen Effect? I believe it is related to the relaxation of dipoles once polarised by an AC field in say an electrochemical cell. I can not find any internet link, can anyone give me ref. or links?

When using rechargable batteries in a sealed container they build up pressure due to off gassing during charge and dis charge. I understand there is a catalyst that can be added to the container that will stop this, what is it and where can it be obtained?

I have a dead cellphone which i need to get up and running without a battery. I have searched everywhere on the net but just can't seem to find any information on how to simulate a Li-ion battery so that i could power my cellphone from normal batteries or a transformer.
