aluminum battery31 May 2005 14:13 GMT1
I wrote to Frost and Sullivan to ask them if they just awarded
Europositron the award based on a business plan, or if they
really evaluated the technology.  I got the following answer
from the man who did the evaluation:
Battery Acid Spray31 May 2005 02:48 GMT4
Hey today I was recharging non-rechargeables using a lead acid battery.
Within 5 seconds the battery got hot, so I disconnected it. When the
battery was cool again, I reconnect it, and there was a rather nasty
spray. Battery acid spewed from the negative terminal. It missed my eye
Lithium Manganese Dioxide Transportation30 May 2005 16:43 GMT5
I need to understand the shipping regulations for LiMnO2 batteries. I
want to use several of the 123 camera battery in a product, and may
want to ship one or more of the products at one time, with batteries.
Shipping by air cargo and passenger air are my main concerns.
Lead/acid OCV change with age?28 May 2005 00:44 GMT1
I've looked and looked for real data about how fully charged Open
Circuit Voltage changes with age or cycles for a lead acid battery.
Much of the common wisdom about matching batteries in banks implies
that OCV will change with age. Does plate composition change with time?
Corrosion - Protection / Treatment27 May 2005 16:18 GMT4
Car battery support compartment, coating has been breached and
extensive white powder ( metal sulfates ? ) has formed. Need product /
procedure for application after cleaning to prevent further damage.
Product should neutralize, coat and protect ....
hard to find alkaline and other battery information (applies to energizer only)27 May 2005 13:59 GMT3
Do you want to know the Amp Hour Rating of titaniums, did you know that
titaniums have a higher Ah rating than photo lithiums.  You can find this
data at http://data.energizer.com/
12V 1500Ah (Not Trojan T105)27 May 2005 02:48 GMT9
OK,
Seeing as the topic I started veered off into territory not useful to
me, I will ask a different question here.
Does anyone know of a 12V Deep Cycle battery that has a capacity of
Recharging Non-Rechargeable Batteries27 May 2005 01:49 GMT1
Does anyone on this board still recharge non-rechargeable batteries? It
seems everyone has abondoned this topic ...
Charge 3 batteries with a 2 or 4 battery charger?27 May 2005 00:20 GMT2
What would be the best way to charge 3 batteries using a 2 or 4 battery
charger?
Is it feasible?
Regards,
12V Deep Cycle 1500Ah25 May 2005 15:34 GMT30
I need 12V, 1500Ah to run a large inverter.
To make a 12V, 1500Ah battery bank, ideally you would go for 6x 2V,
1500Ah cells in series to give you 12V, 1500Ah.  The problem is that
these cells are very expensive, and I am looking for a more budget
Currentless AU plating25 May 2005 01:58 GMT1
Is there somebody here who has experience in currentless plating?
We have an application where we want to plate Au on polythene.
Can this be done? I know people do it with Ag, using a reducing
solution.
protein electrochemistry23 May 2005 13:58 GMT2
Hi, I'm new to protein electrochemistry. I would  like to gain some
theoretical knowledge on protein electrochemistry for sensor
applications. I would appreciate if someone suggest some review
articles on protein electrochemistry.
Does refrigeration extend the shelf life of alkaline batteries? Freezing?23 May 2005 01:23 GMT9
Also, might this apply to NiMH, NiCad?
flat band potential-measurement methods?22 May 2005 21:40 GMT9
hi, i'm working on TiO2 electrodes (thin layers) and i want to find out
what is the Vfb value; however, i on't know much about the impedance
measurements-can anyone tell me, what should i do first (i have some
articles on this topic, but it seems the authors have been dealing with
MAX712 not terminating fast charge21 May 2005 03:40 GMT1
I was trying the standard nimh charger using max712 at about c/2 rate.
It does not seem to terminate the charge even after the battery getting very
warm. I tried 700mah and 2200mah nicd and 2100 mah nimh. It simply goes on
charging. I vented one of the 700mah cells in the ...
