I have a bunch of desktop chargers usually used for charging mobile
phone batteries of a specific type.  Seeing as no-one has the
appropriate phones anymore I was thinking of using the charging
electronics to charge other batteries with the same amount of cells.

Freezing batteries17 May 2005 21:39 GMT8
Recently the discussion floated back to the old question of
refrigerating batteries.
Now it is true that it is bad to freeze batteries because the
ice crystals can damage the structure of the battery, the separator
Help in finding the name of a chem/electrchem feild13 May 2005 08:10 GMT13
I need to investigate the areas of acid at cathode and basin at anode on a

aluminium battery11 May 2005 20:16 GMT12
What do you think about europositron and their battery(see link bellow)?

is a swindle.
Carbon rods - electrical connections methods11 May 2005 07:56 GMT6
Can anyone please advise me of methods used to make electrical connections
to carbon rods?
The connections are in a conductivity probe and are signal connections (ie
not high power. The current method involves simply twisting TCW around the
NiMH "AA" charger experiment10 May 2005 18:29 GMT1
Is there a way, using a 4-position AA/AAA cell charger having a single
"charge/done" LED indicator, simple test equipment, and any number of
cells, to tell the following: How many independent charging circuits does
it have? i.e. how many cells at a time are monitored for voltage ...
NiMH batteries in NiCd charger -- what is the spec?06 May 2005 03:14 GMT3
I have been told that there is a commercial NiMH AA battery that can
be used in devices set up for using and charging NiCd AA batteries.
It has  tolerance for trickle charge.
I have searched Usenet to no avail.  Does anyone know where they can
Recharging Energizer e2 batteries04 May 2005 16:16 GMT2
I have a friend at work with a pair of the new Energizer e2 AA
batteries. She _thought_ they were rechargeable, but found by closer
reading of the package after purchase that they aren't classified as
such.
Overpotential formula04 May 2005 08:40 GMT3
I'm working on my degree's thesis at the University of Genoa (Italy).
Now I'm reading an article of Choong-Gon Lee about the effect of the
gas-phase transport in molten carbonate fuel cell!
In this work the author give a linear equation for the overpotential,
