12v 5AH Sealed Pb-Acid Battery28 Feb 2006 01:58 GMT8
Tested one purchased from Radio Shack, which is probably typical, from
fully charged, with a 25.2 ohm load, recording voltage as a function
of time, hence computed current and power as functions of time. Data
can be VERY closely approximate by 7th order polynomial functions.
Oxidation State of Iodine in Triiodide Ion (for Frost diagram)27 Feb 2006 08:31 GMT5
A student came up with a problem on constructing a Frost diagram from a
given Latimer diagram for Iodine.
Let us assume for simplicity the the diagram is such

Notebook ECS batteries24 Feb 2006 13:29 GMT6
Dears,
I'm having troubles with ECS notebook batteries.... they don't last so
long as IBM, DELL, TOSCHIBA notebook batteries.... I would like to find
out some reasons for that....
How to define a "dead" battery technically?20 Feb 2006 15:09 GMT16
Hi every battery lover,
Is it just as simple as a dead battery stays at 0V? What is the
definition of a "dead" battery technically? Many thanks!

fast charging NiMH AAA's ...17 Feb 2006 17:36 GMT3
I and my friend both have LaCrosse AAA/AA chargers we use for NiMH cells.
I tend to charge my AA's and AAA's at the default charging rate, which is
200mA.
He tends to charge everything at the 700mA setting. We both have some 900ma
Looking for discharge charts showing voltage vs. time for specific loads14 Feb 2006 23:56 GMT1
I would like to find battery discharge charts that show voltage versus
time when a certain load is applied to the battery. The batteries are
your typical coin batteries. While I am interested in a specific
battery, I can't seem to find much even for batteries in general on the
Nicad discharge method12 Feb 2006 22:25 GMT3
I have a dozen or so Nicad handheld radio batteries that won't be used
for a while and I was wondering if there is a difference in the life of
the batteries or the available number charge cycles of the batteries if
the batteries are self discharged or use discharged before being
Potentiostatic transient that does not correspond to the charging of the double later08 Feb 2006 09:25 GMT12
I have produced 100's of I-t curve of a comb that is made up of copper e.g.
both anode and cathode is copper.
I have fixed the voltage to 1.25v, placed the copper combs in 18.3MR
(0.055uS) water and measured the current over 300sec (current is measure of
SLA Battery charger design question07 Feb 2006 23:06 GMT1
This maybe off topic but i need a little electronic advice on my
charger setup:
I need to charge a alot of different voltage lead acid batterys
6,8,10,12, ect. I have a
Permittivity of water at the charged interface07 Feb 2006 12:55 GMT3
At a water interface of a double layer (spaced at apx 0.3nm), why is the
permittivity apx between 6-10 (Evgenij 2005 IS p.469)
at the charged interface?
Water at 20degc is 80.2.
Chinese Ni/mH D cells and ebike05 Feb 2006 23:33 GMT9
i recently purchased a wilderness energy BD36 electric bike conversion
kit. They call it a 600 watt motor, but it runs off 36V and has a PWM
speed controller that current limits at 32-34A, so it is really a 1000W+
motor. when i give it full throttle and am going on level ground ...
OH- spread more than H+ ions?04 Feb 2006 11:25 GMT3
I've conducted a simple experiment on a glass sample that has two clean
copper electrodes biased with 20v DC.  Between the two electrodes I
have placed a drop of de-ionised water with Universal Indicator added.
Over a period of time the electrodes changes colour, as expected, with
2 AA's or 4.5vDC 700 mA adapter with CD player03 Feb 2006 23:49 GMT4
I have a CD player that runs on 2 AA batteries.  There is an optional
4.5v AC adapter that could be purchased.  I'm confused.  Two AA
batteries are only 3.0v and just a couple hundred milliamps.  When I
asked the manufacturer, the rep said that the higher voltage and amps
Finding Asymptotes from a frequency responce of a set of data03 Feb 2006 03:44 GMT5
Can anyone help me find asymptote from a set of data in two column x
and y that show the frequency responce of a say a freq. responce of a
electrochem cell?
Finding it from a function seem relatively easy but without a model for
