Removing zinc plating26 Nov 2006 12:27 GMT1
I have been given an old style boiler, about 40 litres, electric heater
with stat, which I intend to use for my home brew beer hobby.  The tub
is made of copper which of course would be perfect except that its been
zinc plated all over.

Hi, I have Solartron Full Electrochemical System and Corrware and ZPlot
softwares. I need to talk somebody has experiences on Polarization, CV
and EIS measurements on PEM fuel cells.  Thanks.

do NiMH "Whisker" in storage?24 Nov 2006 19:42 GMT5
Just opened a pack of Uniross 2000 NiMH, stored but unused for over a
year. One failed to charge and stuck at 0 volts until I zapped it with
about 20A for ½ second. Is this typical? Should I scrap the cell? (It's
not for a critical application)
How to test for hexavalnet chrome in body?16 Nov 2006 10:55 GMT3
What is a precise way to measure workers who are

Pb Acid Trickle Maintenance10 Nov 2006 02:21 GMT7
Nominal 12 V, 5 AH, used for occasional telescope operation.
Keeping "Hot-'n-Fresh" via a trickle which can be tweaked according to
the resulting voltage.
It seems that about 13.5 to 13.6 might be optimal.
Needed:  tutorial reference on ionic conduction (MgO)09 Nov 2006 16:36 GMT1
Could someone recommend a tutorial or reference on ionic conduction?
I'm particularly interested in MgO.  What would cause MgO to lose some
of it's electrical insulating properties at high temperatures or what
can be done to enhance the electrical insulating properties.  But I
NiMH storage life?09 Nov 2006 05:43 GMT2
I've a new and unused Energizer 750mAh AAA battery.  I bought a four
pack  for something that runs on 3AAA and one cell sat in a drawer
never used.  The code on side indicates "02-06 LJ".  I know this
Standard versus High Power NiMH batteries06 Nov 2006 18:22 GMT6
Dears,
I always buy High Power NiMH Sub-C batteries for my powertools, but
they are twice as expensive as standard NiMH batteries.... and also
last less...
Building a solar charger for a Li-ion camera battery02 Nov 2006 04:43 GMT2
Just a preliminary enquiry into the possibility of this.
I am going on a massive worldwide cycling mission, and want to build a
solar charger for my digital SLR.  The camera, a Nikon D50, takes a
EN-EL3 model Li-ion battery, 7.4V 1400mAh.  The standalone mains charger
