I want to clean grease and carbon deposits from an aluminium and steel engine head. I know sodium hydroxide is out. Will dilute hydrochloric acid do any good? Muz.

I though I would share an new development I have found made by Analog Devices. I have pasted in an extract from the datasheet. They also sell a USB demo board with software that is about $150.
