9-Volt Battery Explosion and Spray31 Oct 2007 03:50 GMT5
A few days ago I was trying to connect lots of 9-volt batteries
together in series. I mistakenly put one connection backwards, and
when I connected the batteries to a lightbulb, that one battery
exploded. Why's that happen?

Last December, I bought 4 C-size tabbed NiCad's from Amondotech.com (who
I now find have been "acquired" by batteryjunction.com.
I wired the tabs together (using solder and short wire) inside a
flashlight that I use on my bike. It worked great until around 2-3

I bought a Nautilus deep cycle battery at my local shop.  Assuming it
had enough charge I went for a boat ride with my 30lb thrust elec
motor.  Went good for about 2 hours mostly on full thrust.  I put the
battery on a 12volt 1 amp trickle charger off and on for about a total
