Electrode Material for Electrochemical Cell31 Oct 2008 23:22 GMT13
i´m going to prepare my own 3-terminal electrochemical cell for CV and
EIS Measurments. I´m wondering what material for the working and
counterelectrode are suitable. I know that platinum is widly used, but
it is very expensive. What about stainless steal or gold (wouldn´t be
Explosion of CR123 rechargeable battery.16 Oct 2008 05:14 GMT8
An explosion has occurred in my flashlight, powered by two CR123 - 3V -
unprotected & rechargeable battery.
The flashlight is a waterproof one, and the bulb is a led.
Of course, the explosion was accurred when the flashlight was ON.
CR-123A Discharge curves13 Oct 2008 20:27 GMT2
I started pulling data on raw cells, taking different cells from each
vendor and putting them on a 1.5A CC load as a starting point, before
trying the CP load.
Interestingly, there's a rather large dip in the voltage at the
MAKING CHLORINE FOR A POOL07 Oct 2008 07:00 GMT1
Is there an easy and cheap way to make liquid chlorine in sufficient
quantites to treat a 50,000 gallon pool?
Now, kiddies, go ahead and say buy it.
How about chlorine gas?  I am aware of the dangers.
ionic conduction - speed of ions?04 Oct 2008 11:58 GMT1
I know that the charge carriers in metallic conduction travel at the speed
of light - but at what speed do the ions travel at in the case of ionic
conduction?
