Hi, I was looking into a really bad sizzling on an electret microphone the
other day, and as it was powered by a tripple a dry cell I changed it and it
went away. Checking the old battery, a pretty bog standard old style high
power, ie not alkaline cell, it seememed to be OK for ...

I have a little gadget which runs on four triple A batteries, well It does
not in fact, it runs on two sets of two in parralell, which in my book is a
damn stupid design, no wonder it eats batteries. Presumably, they shuttle
about charging each other when its just sitting there.
