Been watching a "flare" in the dark frames for about an hour now (3.30
PM Australian time).
about 1/5th way down the frame, below the first digit of the minutes
on the clock. It got quite bright.

It is my understanding that an earthquake forecasting group in California
proposed that there could be some significant seismic activity in a

Now to go totally off topic re events to occur 10/27/04.
Game 4 of this years World Series will be played in St Louis, Mo. USA. A
total Eclipse of the moon will begin/run ~ concurrently with the ball game.
Weather permitting the potential of showing the Eclipse live during the game

Most of the related webicorders were noisy over the weekend,
with a constant rather than impulsive level of activity.
Heavy clouds have obscured the mountain, which has a fresh

Today (10-18-04) is the 15th anniversary of the Loma Preita
7.1 magnitude earthquake.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I did not experience the quake
so I cannot tell any great stories.

The web cam is showing lots of snow and steam,
with some interesting local clouds being formed
over and around the mountain.  Seismic activity
this morning seems to be low.

Has anybody else noticed that over the past 24 hours or so
that the Mt. St. Helens webicorders seem to be showing a
rhythmic pattern of small quakes at refular intervals? It
seems to show up best on the South Ridge station (HSR).

The new lava dome can be seen faintly in the volcano cam.

Previous nights the volcanocam would go to random noise and darkness.
Tongiht there is a small area(1.5" below the first colon in the title) that
has NOT gone dark.
I carefully noted the position on my screen where I'd expect to see a glow
