| MSH Activity | 10 Oct 2004 19:33 GMT | 5 |
After 36 hours of good activity the amplitude now seems down but the frequency seems holding/increasing at/to one a minute. I wonder if there's been any significant new dome growth in the last two days?

| Mt St Helens Dome Riseing | 10 Oct 2004 04:15 GMT | 43 |
If these folks are to be believed "The Loaf" described below would add a significant amount of material to an eruptive blast/when/if it occurs. Below is a "Blurb" from: http://makeashorterlink.com/?C1CE53679

| Freaking out over Rainier. | 09 Oct 2004 23:44 GMT | 2 |
First of all, I know there are a few professionals that read this newsgroup. I hope at least one of them is willing to chime in and explain some of the traces being seen on the webicorders. In lieu of this, I would like to invite people to go to this page

| MT.Ranier Activity? | 09 Oct 2004 09:50 GMT | 11 |
The Longmire webicorder showed a MAJOR(compared to other recent Longmire traces) harmonic EQ early this AM 2:08.5 to 2:56PDT(10/8/04)..almost fifty minutes. Increased activity but NOT the harmonic showed at Mount Fremont and Camp Sherman. All three St. Helens webicorders did NOT ...

| Fri. PM: Mt. St. Helens activity stronger | 09 Oct 2004 06:38 GMT | 3 |
A quick check of the webicorders at 9:00PM PDT shows stronger 'quake activity with the local recorders going into saturation. Another steam phase or prelude to blowout? We should know by morning.

| Has Mt St Helens got rhythm? | 09 Oct 2004 03:08 GMT | 3 |
From the latests siesmographs, it seems as though it's found a natural rhythm/heartbeat. Percolating? --

| another successful prediction claim? | 08 Oct 2004 20:27 GMT | 7 |
This one comes out of academia, so I pay more attention. http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Newsroom/NasaNews/2004/2004100417693.html I wonder if anyone has computed the probabilities and significance.

| Mt. St. Helens: lecture demo using a kitchen microwave oven | 08 Oct 2004 18:40 GMT | 19 |
If you ever give public lectures, here's an interesting effect I stumbled across this year. A microwave oven can melt glass if the glass is pre-heated into the range where it becomes electrically conductive. BRAINSTORM: a

| St. Helens 1980's Dome Building? | 08 Oct 2004 12:38 GMT | 3 |
I forgotten much of the exact timing. The 1980 eruption went for several days. weeks? Then what the timeline is I've forgotten. What is the dome building timeline? How does the seismicity of the dome building period compare to

| June Lake's Signal is Suddenly Highly Asymetric? | 08 Oct 2004 06:22 GMT | 1 |
If the polarity is right then the read is that June lake is 'deflating'. If wrong then it's 'inflating'. This was between 15:36.5 & 15:42.5PDT. Is there anywhere on a picture/map that shows the exact location of the three seismographs on St. Helens?

| Wed. AM: Mt. St. Helens (relatively) quiet | 07 Oct 2004 18:06 GMT | 4 |
Earthquake activity seems muted, though there's a moderate noise floor, possibly due to magma flow? However, it's nothing like the saturated webicorders we've been seeing for the last week or so.

Big cloud of something forming over the crater, possibly steam. The volcanocam had a bug--literally--in the display, and isn't being updated frequently. I'm watching coverage via
